Can withstand rain, but must be set up so that driving rain cannot enter the speaker, as it will destroy the scarecrow.

The sensor on the Garden Protector 2 is automatically activated by movement and the device emits a special series of sound signals. The frequency depends on the selected setting.
Dogs, cats, martens, foxes etc. feel disturbed by the ultrasounds and leave the area. Independent laboratory studies have proven the effectiveness of this technology in pest control.

Power source.
Garden Protector 2 works with the use of 4 D batteries of good quality or with an optimal adapter (WKT052-not included in the package).
If you decide to use batteries, remove the cover on the back. This is done by pushing the battery cover down.
Place the batteries as directed. Position the battery cover according to the arrows and push it back into place to close it completely.
The lifetime of the batteries depends on the number of activations. Good batteries can handle 5000 activations before they need to be changed.
If you use the adapter, just plug it into the socket on the side of the device. Batteries must not be in the device if the adapter is used.

Selecting the correct frequency setting.
Choose from the different frequencies which animal you want to chase away: follow the setup options on the back. Move the number dial on the front to the desired position. The infrared detector automatically reacts to movement and emits ultrasound for approx. 7 seconds. It then returns to an idle period of 5 seconds.
If the movement is repeated, the procedure is repeated. The device is operational as soon as you have selected one of the 7 positions and inserted batteries or connected the adapter.
Older animals may have reduced hearing. If you notice that the hunted animals do not respond to the Garden Protector 2, we suggest you find a lower frequency by setting it to a higher position.
Be aware that the higher the setting, the lower the range of frequencies. The highest settings
(6 + 7) can be heard by some people with unusually good hearing. Therefore, never place the device directly next to the ear and keep it away from children.

LED light.
Garden Protector 2 is equipped with an LED lamp. If it is switched on (is set to ON) the light will be activated 5 times during the 7 second ultrasound. Please note that when using batteries, the lifespan is reduced by approximately 40%.

Location.
The device must be placed 30 - 60cm above the ground's surface, depending on which animal is the target. 2 different holders are included to make installation easier. Make sure there are no obstacles between the Garden Protector and the area to be protected. There must be free passage. If the area to be protected is very large or with a lot of vegetation, you should use more than one device.

The good neighbor.
Garden Protector 2 solves the problem of stray and invading animals, such as dogs, cats, foxes, martens and rabbits, etc.
Avoid using the device on a neighbour's property or on public roads. May only be used on the owner's own property.
The lowest frequencies (highest settings) can be heard by some people. If this is bothersome, increase the frequency by turning the knob to a lower setting.

We recommend that the scarecrow be placed within approx. 6 metres, where animals move, to achieve the best result.
