Downpipes are a popular access route for stray rats to enter your home. The rat guard from P.SVART therefore offers you an effective way to stop rats from gaining access to the house via downpipe. The rat guard can be installed easily and in a few minutes. See installation instructions.

Buy rat protection to protect against rodents that enter the house, for example from downpipes. Fits all types of pipes with a diameter of 81-95 mm.

Installation instructions

1. What is the dimension of the downpipe?
Fits downpipes with a diameter of 81-95 mm, which is a relatively normal size for single-family houses.

2. Find a suitable tool
The rat guard requires a hole of approximately 2 mm in height and 45 mm in width. You can advantageously use an angle grinder or other suitable tool that can achieve the same result.

3. Location of the rat guard
The rat guard can advantageously be placed at a height that is tangible to reach, for easy installation and easy maintenance. Approx. 80 cm above the ground.

4. Fitting the rat guard
Press the brackets on the rat guard carefully together to the desired width and then fit the rat guard with the fork pointing downwards by pushing the rat guard onto the downpipe. If the rat guard is loose on the pipe, take it out again and press it together further until it fits tightly around the pipe.

5. Securing the rat protection
If you wish, you can use the holes in the rat guard to fasten it with strips or install self-tapping screws on the side of the rat guard. It is possible to purchase additional strips or screws. This is not a requirement for the effect of the rat guard, but solely to achieve extra security when removing the rat guard.
