The Santoprene™ rubber material is not attached to the aluminum holder. This means that the installer is able to adapt the rubber material to the surface after mounting the aluminum holder horizontally on the object.

Tested and tried
We know how important it is for our customers to have their premises secured against pests and rodents. Therefore, when we developed Raxit Seals, we did not just strive to develop a product that could compete with the existing vinyl and brush strips on the market. Well, we wanted to develop a product that completely surpassed the competition.

A laboratory test
The test was carried out at the Pipe Centre, Technological Institute Taastup in Denmark. The rat penetration test was carried out according to the Danish test standard for rats in sewage systems. Adjustments to the test strategy and scope were made to reflect the case of rats attempting to penetrate under a door leaf. As seen in the pictures above, the Raxit door seal was fitted to a mock-up double door (in a closed square test box). There was no threshold installed under the double door. The reason for not installing a threshold under the doors was to reflect a real world scenario where pallet trucks, forklifts, etc. can drive through. From the bottom of the door to the surface there was a gap of 50mm, enough room for the rats to crawl under. The first seven days of the test were carried out without the Raxit Door Seal installed to allow the rats to become familiar with the box and where it could feed. The second part, and last seven days, of the test was conducted with the Raxit Door Seal installed, blocking the way so the rats could not reach their food. The Raxit Door Seal passed the test successfully as the rats were unable to penetrate the Raxit Door Seal even after severe gnawing marks were observed. In addition to the rat penetration tests, we also performed; durability, climate and water barrier tests successfully at the Technological Institute.

A nationwide field test
The successful lab test established strong confidence in our products effectiveness and we knew we were on our way to a product that could potentially outperform the existing and weaker brush and vinyl strips. The real test was when we made the first nationwide contract with one of the largest grocery chains in Northern Europe. After a successful year with the Raxit door seals installed across 340+ grocery stores, the grocery chain achieved significant reductions in servicing and rodent intrusion costs, the Raxit door seals are now a fixture across the chain's warehouse doors.
