A SIMPLE, EFFECTIVE SOLUTION TO A SERIOUS PROBLEM
Research shows that nine out of ten bed bug infestations start in our beds and that the growth rate of the insects is exponential. Nattaro Safe breaks the bed bug life cycle to ensure their arrival never develops into a major problem. Thanks to its design, the product is easy to fit where it is needed, whether it is under the bed, on or behind skirting boards, headboards and so on. Use Nattaro Safe preventively and after treatment to prevent recurring problems.

How Nattaro Safe® kills bed bugs
Nattaro Safe® comes on a roll of tape that is constructed with an adhesive back and an inside covered with the active substance diatomaceous earth (DE). Diatomaceous earth is a natural compound that absorbs and destroys the protective wax coating of bed bugs, resulting in the pest drying out and dying. DE is a natural product made from fossilized silica algae and is not harmful to humans or pets by contact. Through the design of our bed bug tape, Nattaro Safe® creates an environment that appeals to bed bugs, a dark and closed paper tunnel with attractive crevices to hide in. The inside contains a thin layer of diatomaceous earth that kills the bed bug.

Extremely effective - natural substance

We have conducted experiments on how long it takes for a bed bug to die once it comes into contact with DE in Nattaro Safe®. Our life cycle tests showed that Nattaro Safe effectively prevented the establishment of bed bug infestations. Within two weeks, the artificial attacks, each initiated by 10 females and 10 males, were eradicated. We conclude that Nattaro Safe effectively prevents the build-up of new populations thanks to the disruption of the bed bug's life cycle by effectively killing both nymphs and adults. Through research we have come to discover just the right amount of DE to use to kill bed bugs, as too thick a layer will repel them instead. The big advantage of DE is that bed bugs cannot develop resistance to it, unlike chemical pesticides.

Long-lasting protection against bed bugs

Nattaro Safe® can be left for 24 months and longer before it needs to be replaced. Defective or lost pieces can be continuously changed. As long as the dust inside the tape is clean and dry, it continues to have a drying effect. As the product is normally placed in the bed, wear may occur and we recommend inspecting it and possibly replacing it on an ongoing basis. Nattaro Safe® is easy to apply and is available in 12 meter or 30 meter packs that can be cut to any length before placing on beds, behind headboards and other furniture.
