On 1 June 2015, the classification order was replaced by the CLP regulation.

What is the risk of Extremely Flammable chemistry?
Extremely flammable chemicals can be ignited by high temperatures, sparks or open flames.
In the event of a fire, the flammable products must be removed if it can be done without risk.
Some chemicals emit flammable gases in contact with water, and there may be a risk of self-ignition if they come into contact with oxygen. A chemical fire must never be extinguished with water, as there is a risk of the fire spreading.
Instead, the fire must be extinguished with a powder extinguisher, foam extinguisher, water mist, fire blanket or carbon dioxide.
What must be labeled Extremely Flammable danger symbol?
You can label cans with petrol, acetone and ethanol with the GHS danger symbol for Extremely Flammable.
GHS hazard symbols help to strengthen safety. By labeling correctly with GHS danger symbols, you help ensure that everyone is aware of the risk and, for example, removes petrol cans when there is a risk of ignition.
