Installation

1. Hang or mount the device at a height where children and pets cannot reach it (2 meters height or higher is recommended). Connect to the appropriate electrical mains with the supplied plug.

2. Their bug trap should be cleaned weekly (more often if high levels of insects are present). Use a brush to wash the high voltage metal grid. If necessary, the LED lamp can be cleaned with the brush and a wrung out cloth. Empty the bottom tray of dead insects by pulling it out. Never let the device come into contact with water.

VERY IMPORTANT: ALWAYS UNPLUG AND SWITCH OFF THE APPLIANCE BEFORE CLEANING.

HOW YOUR INSECT TRAP WORKS

The LED Insect Trap emits both ultraviolet and blue light, which together attract flies, moths, mosquitoes and other flying insects to an electrically charged metal grid, where they are instantly killed by electric shock. When the device is used correctly, the device is completely safe for people. At the same time, the grid prevents touching the electrically charged grid and the light produced by an LED is not dangerous for people or pets. The grid is stainless.

ADVANTAGES OF LED

The use of LED light sources has important advantages compared to the use of fluorescent tubes:
• The lifetime of an LED lamp is many times longer than that of a conventional fluorescent tube.
• The brightness an LED lamp emits (light output in lumens) remains constant throughout its lifetime compared to a conventional fluorescent tube, which loses brightness quickly.
• In contrast to conventional fluorescent tubes, no mercury is used in LED lamps.
• LED lamps are more energy efficient. To produce exactly the same light output (lumens), an LED lamp uses only half the electrical energy that a fluorescent lamp uses.

The fluorescent tubes can move slightly during transport, so they should be rotated in place if there is a lack of light in the trap.
